Clove-flaxseed collagen serum is a powerhouse blend designed to firm lax skin, fade deep wrinkles, and lighten stubborn age spots—all with pantry staples. Clove buds supply eugenol, an antioxidant that slows collagen breakdown, while flaxseed gel floods skin with omega-3s that visibly improve elasticity. Aloe vera, vitamin E, and rose water add soothing hydration and barrier support. Two easy boosters—raw honey and turmeric—round out the recipe, accelerating repair and brightening tone. Whip up this lightweight night serum in under 20 minutes and watch your complexion grow smoother, plumper, and more even week after week.
Ingredients Required
Whole cloves – 1 tsp
Flaxseeds – 2 Tbsp
Raw honey – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Aloe vera gel (99 % pure) – 2 Tbsp
Pure rose water – 1 Tbsp
Vitamin E oil – 10 drops
Filtered water – about ¾ cup total
(Makes roughly 50 ml of serum; scale the quantities if needed.)
Procedure
Brew the clove-turmeric infusion
Warm ¼ cup (60 ml) filtered water in a small pan.
Add the cloves and turmeric. Keep the flame very low and let it gently steam for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool completely, then strain out the solids.
Prepare the flaxseed gel
Combine flaxseeds with ½ cup (120 ml) water in a saucepan.
Simmer over low heat, stirring, until the liquid thickens and seeds suspend in a translucent gel (about 6–7 minutes).
While still hot, strain through a fine muslin cloth or stocking to collect the smooth gel.
Blend the serum base
Whisk the cooled clove-turmeric infusion into the flaxseed gel until fully combined.
Fold in the aloe vera gel for extra slip and hydration.
Stir in rose water for pH balance and a fresh scent.
Add raw honey and mix until it dissolves.
Finish with vitamin E oil, whisking briskly so the oil disperses evenly.
Bottle and cure
Pour the mixture into a sterilised 50 ml amber or frosted glass pump bottle.
Refrigerate for 12 hours to let the polymers hydrate and the texture settle into a silky serum.
