Learned this from my Chinese friend and we’ve been making it ever since!
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1 medium head of Chinese cabbage, sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Optional: grated carrots
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
Add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
Stir in the sliced Chinese cabbage and cook until it begins to soften, about 5 minutes.
