Directions
Boil the white cotton mop heads in a large pot of water on the stove for 15-20 minutes to soften the fibers and remove any impurities.
Remove the mop heads from the pot and allow them to cool. Once cooled, gently unravel the mop heads into long strands.
Cut the wooden dowel to your desired width for the tapestry. Securely tie one end of each mop head strand to the dowel, spacing them evenly across its length.
If you wish to add color, prepare a fabric dye bath according to the dye package instructions. Dip the ends of the mop strands into the dye for a gradient effect, then allow them to dry completely.
Once dry, use the jute twine to create two loops at each end of the dowel for hanging. Knot the twine securely and trim any excess.
Hang your tapestry on a wall using nails or hooks, adjusting the strands for your desired level of texture and flow.
